1850 Census Search Page

This searches the transcription made by Larry Nobles and the AGS.

After the search applet identifies a census entry, you can go back to the rest of the 1850 census pages and examine the census entries around what you found.

You must have the Java Runtime Environment installed on your computer and enabled on your browser for this search page to work. You can obtain the JRE from www.java.com .

If you are using a computer using Apple or Linux operating systems, check at java.sun.com for links to Java for your computer .

Some browsers will block this search applet, and will place a message at the top of the browser saying so. You can usually click on the message and allow the applet to run.

This search applet has been updated and dropped back to JRE 1.4 on 26 Feb 2006.
